100% organically grown Gaglioppo, Calabria’s most important red grape variety, from 50+ years old vines, trained in the traditional 'alberello' system. Fermented with native yeasts, maceration is kept short, to just six days, and aging is in stainless steel tanks for six months. This is deceivingly light in color – a hallmark of Gaglioppo – but never lacking in character, with plenty of berry fruit aromas and a smoky herbs-meet-black fruit potency. A grape often known for its earth-bound rusticity, Christian's is duly kept in check by lifted floral tones and vibrant acidity.
