Basilicata

Hidden away in Italy's far south, Basilicata's most famous region sits on the volcanic terrain surrounding Vulture.  Aglianico grown here shows a smokey, leathery quality, with some similarities to Taurasi, but with a personality all its own.  Its lesser fame means these wines are fantastic values.
