The Monferrato region has emerged as Piemonte’s new ‘wine laboratory’ so to speak, and experimentation is extensive at the newly-founded Sette estate, where the comedic and talented duo of experienced wine trade pro, Gino Della Porta, and well-known enologist, Gianluca Colombo, have come together to expose new dimensions of the region’s widely pedestrianized indigenous varieties. 100% Barbera from 75-year-old vines, this is velvety, fruity and spicy, with round tannins and fresh acidity. Aromas of ripe cherry and blackberry, fresh tobacco, espresso, dark chocolate & smoked chipotle peppers.
