A wine that seems to take you on a metaphorical beach walk, the fruit for the Crescendo hails from a younger Pigato vineyard located at the end of the Riviera di Ponente, dangling 200 meters above the Mediterranean below. As with the Rebosso, the Crescendo sees no skin maceration, transferred directly into tanks for a few months of development. Salty, subtle, beguiling, the wine oscillates between something crystalline and delicate to something delightfully chewy. Invigorating waves of ripe pear and peach, pocked with white pepper, soft green herbs (tarragon, dill) and sea salt saturate the senses. With Selvadolce’s unique territory and artisanal methods, this classic Ligurian varietal reaches new heights.
