Ribolla Gialla is Friuli’s indigenous grape par excellence, a white grape with piercing acidity, that seems to concentrate all of the plant’s energy into a lean, powerful wine that is built to age. In the Radikon fashion, this was fermented on skins for four months and aged in old casks for four years. Hazy orange with explosive aromatics of quince, fresh orange zest, and apricot. Big and textured with fine tannins and bracing acidity that makes this dangerously drinakble in its combination of density and freshness. The sheer amount of structure and lingering acidity on display here suggests that this is a wine that will continue to wow for many years to come.
