100% Pinot Noir from a tiny half-hectare parcel, Nicola’s Blanc de Noirs bottling is far and away his most muscular expression of Gussago’s limestone soils. A combination of 4 different vintages, one of which was aged in large barrel, the BdN is a vivid expression of the strong bind between grape and soil here. Boasting Chablis-like precision, this is bubbly for the decanter, flowering beautifully over time (seriously, try consuming this over 2 days and watch it evolve!) Pure Granny Smith and flint, tightly wound red berry, tobacco and oodles of both fresh & dried florals, all nestled in a creamy bed of lactic richness. With almost 6 years in bottle, the wine has had time to round its edges and settle into a masterful expression of Pinot Noir fruit.
