In addition to their more serious contenders, the Giordanos make a small selection of more everyday wines – fun and easy-drinking bottles begging to be stockpiled for weekday dinners. The Vino Rosso (fka the Langhe Rosso) is a prime example, a one-of-a-kind co-ferment of 80% Nebbiolo and 20% Arneis, the white grapes giving it a great aromatic lift and allowing more drinkability and suppleness to come through. Full of floral, red-fruits and tones of dried roses, chrysanthemum, peach skin, and baking spices. Remarkably, all of the fruit for this quaffable red is sourced from estate vineyards nestled in the village of Barbaresco. Best served with a chill.
