From the hands of former architect and Pantelleria wild man Gabrio Bini come this kaleidoscopic wine. From 60-year-old bush vines of Zibibbo (Muscat d'Alesandria) planted to one of the highest points of Pantelleria, it spent seven months on skins in terracotta amphorae buried in the vineyard, before being bottled with no additions. 'Serragghia' combines the expected high-toned, tropical vibes of Zibbibo with salty citrus and an undercurrent of smokey, savory minerality, drawing you in with lifted aromas of apricot, grapefruit, and sea breeze. The palate is wonderfully streamlined, with neat tannins framing complex notes of pith, zest, and brine. As invigorating as it gets.
