A rich, heady wine that really captures the essence of the house style, pulled from a more recently planted parcel within the Barolo zone. Immediately you get the sense that this isn't your run-of-the-mill Langhe Nebbiolo. Layers of dark red fruit, lavender, white pepper, and spice reel from the glass. On the palate, plump but tart cherry gives way to sweet, earthy tobacco, cedar and a spritz of fennel seed. It's fresh and vivacious, rocking a medium weight that is at once tight and shapely, giving it that 'baby Barolo' feel. Ripping stuff.
