40% Chardonnay, 30% Friulano, and 30% Malvasia Istriano, 'Kaplja' ferments on skins for 60-90 days before moving into its 2-year barrel aging. Superb concentration, consistency, and structure are what this is all about. That and a litany of exuberantly spiced and floral notes one right the other: candied apricot, citrus, pear, honey, toasted almond, beeswax, bergamot, dried flowers, aromatic herbs, and hints of oak. Outstanding length and balance with sweet, packed tannins. Power-driven and harmonious.
