A stunning vintage from one of our all time favs! From 75-year-old vines planted 500 meters high, this is a rare pink-skinned mutation of Campania’s Coda di Volpe grape, given a gentle two days of maceration before being pressed and raised in a mix of sandstone amphorae and chestnut casks. Antonio and Daniela work their usual magic to churn out a dangerously delicious, hazy, watermelon-hued rosé that's fleshy, supple, and downright invigorating. More open and lithe than recent vintages, this really wows with a cascade of little red fruits, blood orange, and black currants, with trailing hints of cloves, nutmeg, and salty, sun-kissed green and black olives. Heady, punchy, and lip-smacking good times here. A cult classic rosato that ranks as one of Italy’s best.
