100% Fiano from nearly 100-year-old vines grown high elevation (500 meters above sea level), fermented on skins for four days, before a year of rest in both chestnut and mulberry casks. This wows with complex, pretty aromatics and soft notes of ripe apricot, white flowers, chalk, and Mediterranean scrub; vibrant and intriguing, it's a nutty (hello, Fiano), chewy, and ultimately salty wine, reflecting its proximity to the sea. Well-rounded and refreshing without too much acidity and ultimately the finest of tannins – one of the best vintages of this wine to date. Thank you, mamma Gaia!
