Sourced from a minuscule 0.6 hectare parcel, Friuli's iconic 'Ponca' soils (limestone-rich clay) allow fruit to optimally ripen, while Adriatic breezes and alpine influence from the Alps acts to retain balancing acidity. The 'Salici’ is 100% Sauvignon Blanc, glowing a gorgeous golden hue in the glass; elements of taut yellow stone fruits, Golden Delicious apple, and sweet green herbs dominate dominate the aromatics. Savory, rounded, though at no point lacking for freshness, the Salici sees ten months raised in 225 litre French oak barriques.
