This lithe but savory red is made with the classic Valpolicella blend of local grape varieties: Corvina, Corvinone, and Rodinella, grown with utmost care in Camilla's pergola-trained vineyards, in a mix of limstone-rich, clay, and sandy soils. The Ripasso method means that dried grapes from the estate's Amarone production are added to the wine for a secondary fermentation, bolstering the structure and depth of the final product. 'MariaBella' is big on the fruit but balanced by a heap of baking spices and black pepper, with intense notes of red cherry, raspberry, blood orange, balsamic, and mint.
