Luca and Elena have long believed in Barbera's ability to act a true ambassador of the Langhe; their Barbera Superiore, pulled from the Carrà vineyard, a site long championed by the family, perfectly reflects their conviction. Fruit from parcels planted in 1965 and 2000 brings both depth and lift, while a portion of whole cluster fermentation followed by aging in botti preserves concentration without excess. Deep ruby in the glass, it opens with dark cherry, forest floor, and a pronounced balsamic edge that carries through to the palate. Ripe dark fruit is layered but held in check by freshness and structure, giving the wine shape without weight. Fine-grained tannins add tension, especially notable in the 2024 vintage, leading into a compact and persistent finish that remains precise and free of any sense of overripeness.
