Based around the Fogarina grape - a sub-varietal thought to be extinct in the Emilia-Romagna region but resuscitated by the Alberici family, now the only ones who cultivate it - this is a completely fresh take on Lambrusco, frisky with tart currant notes and a vegetal undercurrent in juxtaposition to purple berry ripeness. Dangerously fun, low ABV (10 percent), and a small victory for biodiversity to boot!
