Weingut Abraham's Pinot Blanc "Vom Muschelkalk" grows in their highest vineyard in Gfill / EppanBerg at over 600m above sea level. The terroir of this slope, at the foot of Mount Mendelberg, consists of deep porphyry substrate with clay sediment and gravel, in calcareous clay soil. The very deep red clay soil surprisingly also has shell limestone slabs, which gives this Pinot Blanc its name. The result is very alpine, characterized by a profound acidity, freshness and elegance.
