100% Zibibbo, the fruit for the Padre della Vigna hails from the De Bartoli's 4ha of low, bush-trained vines on the tiny Mediterranean blip that is the island of Pantelleria, some 250 miles to the south west of Marsala. Produced only in the finest vintages, grapes are harvested in two passes: the first portion picked at traditional ripeness levels in mid-August being being left to sun dry for 2-3 weeks, the remaining fruit harvested much later in September at high sugar levels. It undergoes 3+ years of aging in barrel, resulting in an incredibly nuanced wine. Intense hazelnut, white chocolate and roasted coffee bean notes complicate peach, fig and date aromas on the complex, deep, almost Marsala-like nose. Harmonious peppery acidity provides clarity and cut, giving this rich, impeccably balanced sweet wine a compelling light touch.

No wine will be delivered to obviously intoxicated persons and any person unable to provide age verification will forfeit their right to receive the shipment until identification is produced. In such circumstances, the order may either be held in storage at a local depot of the shipping company until appropriate identification is produced, or shipped back to the winery. Title to, and ownership of, all wine passes from Biondivino to the purchaser in the State of California and the purchaser takes all responsibility for shipping it from California to his/her home state. By arranging for transportation of the wine, Biondivino is providing a service to, and acting on behalf of the purchaser. By utilizing this service from Biondivino, purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in compliance with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of wine.
