A wine of rarely seen balance and substance, with pristine and slightly honeyed white peach and Granny Smith apple driving the fruit profile, pocked by highlights of fennel pollen, white florals, and that textbook salinity that only seems to become more and more persistent. While far from fussy, this is a bottle that will surprise you over multiple hours. Blended from two parcels but aged separately, Luca’s younger vine are picked early and are given a direct press straight to stainless steel vats, while older vines, which come from more compact soils, are picked a little later, and see about 10 days of skin contact before being pressed off to old oak. Serve chilled but not too cold!
