'Ramato'-style, copper-colored Pinot Grigio, fermented on the skins for 30 days before aging in barrels for 12 months. Broad and complex layers of red currant, raspberry, green walnut and flint reel out of the glass. On the palate, minerality dominates, fresh and bright with hints of pineapple cake, golden apple, and spiced quince jam. Initially wound quite tightly with fresh, bright tannins, the 2017 is just now embracing its full elegance and equilibrium.
