Cortese sourced from one of the highest points in all of the Gavi region, the Montemarino leans into the more savory and spice laden side of Cortese. Pulled from another parcel of 60+ year old vines, subjected to 3 days of skin maceration and aged in large acacia botti, the Montemarino offers something more fleshy and textural than its siblings. A wine that only seems to fully reveal itself after an hour or so of aeration, a patient consumer is lead down a path of golden bosc pear, kumquat, and damson plum with tight lines and a salty bristle discecting throughout.
