The result is a particularly fragrant, lively expression of Nebbiolo, without the heft or formidable tannins sometimes associated with its more famous southern cousins in Barolo and Barbaresco. The grapes are harvested by hand, fermented with native yeasts, and left on their skins for two weeks before spending 12 months in concrete tanks. No oak influence here, just a lovely, direct expression of fruit and place.
