Mario Bagella is a second generation winemaker, whose family has been growing grapes on Sardina for over 75 years. Their winery and vineyards are in the town of Sorso, in close proximity to the ocean; appropriately enough, 'Sorso' also means sip in Italian, so Mario decided to have some fun with the naming of this wine.
Fermented with native yeasts with a short maceration and time spent in stainless, this retains all the punchiness of Cannonau – wild berries, herbs, and sea spray – carried on a much lither frame than is typical of the region.
