This rosey rosato blurs the borders between Mt. Enta’s signature reds and white: garden-fresh with the sharp acidity of an Etna Bianco meets a ripe fullness characteristic of our favorite rossi. Dominated by Nerello Mascalese and rounded out with Nerello Cappuccio, this wine spends just four months in steel. Delicate, lively and bright courtesy of its youth, floral notes and hints of wild strawberry and peach blossom reel off the nose. Slight spice on the palate is enhanced by notes of kaffir lime, pink grapefruit, raspberry jams and creamed honey, with a sweet-tart finish of red cherry and blood orange. Dedicated to generations of Etnean winegrowers, 'Alnus' encompasses all the rich diversity of this spectacular region in a refreshingly drinkable wine.
