100% Ormeasco harvested about ten days earlier than grapes for their red wine, ‘Sciac-trà' translates to ‘press and pull,’  a reference to the direct press method they use to make this rosato. Aged in a combo of stainless steel/resin/cement and bottled the spring after harvest but often released one full year after vinification. Drinking a bit more like a light-bodied red, Sciac-trà is pale garnet, taut, and surprising. Full of almost-ripe strawberry, chilly brambly fruit, and alpine herbs, marked by sky-high minerality, firm acidity and just a touch of bitterness. A serious, dark, textural rosato, a singular wine from a singular place!
