Onto the lighter side of things, here, Grignolino – the ultimate Piemontese 'chillable red' – gets the serious Rinaldi treatment while still maintaining the variety's innate levity. Crushed flowers, spice, and sweet, red-toned fruit are all nicely lifted, with added elemetns of singed orange rind, Angostura bitters and menthol. The palate is fine, fresh, light and taut with a cool finish that binds everything into perfect harmony. Served with a light chill, this will make for a serious warm weather red.
