Imagine: you’re bellied up to the bar of an over-crowded Roman enoteca on a busy Friday evening, a few simple plates of antipasti to nibble on, and a hankering for a buoyant glass of local red - something cool, refreshing, no-nonsense… this is exactly what you’d expect and want in your glass. 70% Montepulciano and 30% Cesanese, all grown in Cori’s tuff-riddled volcanic soils, the Tufaliccio radiates with the high-toned cherry fruit and purple flower aromatics of the latter, though packs the oomphy structure and spice of the former. Vibrating with crunchy character and leafy cool, this is a bottle that is best served at cellar temperature, among friends, and preferably with a 2nd one ready right behind it.
