100% Trebbiano, from vines planted in clay and chalk soils a good 350 meters above sea level; it is aged for 1 year in big, used oak barrels and 6 months in bottle before release. The fruit is as potent as the mineral structure of this bottling, which opens with a beguiling blend of ground ginger, young peach, and grapefruit on the nose. Silky and supple, ripe yellow pit fruits are underscored by a saline streak and candied citrus. It finishes remarkably fresh yet long, echoing with nectarine and sour green apple. The best of both worlds, this shows its warm vintage character while maintaining incredible balance. Simply a fantastic wine.
