Marco’s Integer lineup reflects his confidence in the terroir of his homeland and its bounty. From the Latin word meaning 'whole,' they are made exclusively from local varieties and seek to honor Mother Nature in all her nuance and complexity. From 35-50 year old Zibibbo vines planted in the alberello style on volcanic, terraced slopes, the majority of the grapes, but not all, are macerated on their skins for about 1 month in amphorae, while a smaller part macerate in old oak for about 15 days; it is then aged for 10 months on the lees. The result is a skin contact wine of intense and rich aromas, marked by scents of exotic fruit, apricot, peach and candied citrus. The palate is fresh and savory with citrus, mineral, and oxidative undercurrents.
