The vineyard here is comprised of 60-year-old vines, made up of 12-15 different local grape varieties, and has an imposing walnut tree right in the middle; Max didn't even realize these were all here when he bought the property, and legend has it that this is a gathering place for spirits, so to say it's a special place might be an understatement. 'Confine' (meaning 'borderlands') is a dark pink-copper sparkling, complex, savory and saline, full of herbs, spice, sour cherry, roses, grapefruit pith, and an earthen tannic bite. A real tribute to the history of these hills.
