The 'Morei Cilindrica' sees a similar approach to its Sgarzon counterpart, in that it gets an extra year of aging in cylindrically-shaped amphora and extended time in bottle prior to release. The 2021 is aromatically intense yet pliant and smooth. It entices with a burst of crushed stone and exotic spices, complementing blackberries and cherries. This is energetic and lifted in feel, juxtaposing ripe fruits against crisp mineral tones. It leaves a cascade of blue and purple inner florals and a coating of rounded tannins, tapering off with superb length and freshness.
