While Le Piane's celebrated name comes from the reputation of its red wines, the ultra-rare 'Bianko' makes a strong case for Keunzli's white wine-making chops. Only produced in in favorable vintages, fruit here is drawn from a tiny parcel of Erbaluce, an oft-overlooked white grape native to the Alto Piemonte. The wine sees 6 months on lees in an array of vessels - cement, amphora and acacia barrels. Elegant and texture, the wine is driven by a waxy, honeyed stone fruit character that seems never ending.
