Still one the best values in Piemonte, hands down, and it's hard to ignore the praise heaped upon Barbaresco estate La Ca'Nova. A fantastic example of what Barbaresco should be: bright red fruit, refined tannins, medium body, and translucent. The fruit come from the Ovello, Cole and Loreto vineyard sites. The 2021 Barbaresco is stellar: deep, layered and expansive on the palate, with sweet red cherry, plum, blood orange mint and spice give this charming, effusive Barbaresco tons of complexity. A serious, serious wine with a lot going for it.
