Also part of Sasa’s ’S’ lineup, this is 80% Chardonnay and 20% Friulano, spends 10-14 days on the skins, and wows from the offset. ‘Slatnik’ slaps the senses silly with an intoxicating array of exotic aromas, from macerated cherries, baked orange peel, and roses, to lemon oil and soft leather. Rich and bold but, as with all of Radikon's wines, with a vein of acid that makes it oh so fresh, it’s fleshy, pulpy and just downright delicious. Layered and satisfying, with an open mind, it just might be the ultimate pairing wine, as at ease as a solo aperitif as with the cheese course, fish dishes, or heartier northern fare.
