While seemingly a nod to the rustic, old school white field blends of Etna's slopes, Cornelissen's Munjebel Bianco feels anything but 'rustic' or 'old school.' A 50/50 combo of Grecanico Dorato and Carricante, the wine sees a delicate and highly nuanced nose of chalky citrus, wet stone and Mediterranean scrub lead into an elegantly structured mouthful. A touch of skin maceration lends added firmness to a palate of Meyer lemon, tangerine cough lozenge, flinty smoke, and dried apricot set against a beam of acidity.
