Cheers to 2025! After a very busy and then mercifully restful holiday season, we’re looking forward to a new year, and to providing you with great wine along the way.

A few regional themes wend their way through this month’s club, namely in the form of some dynamic duos. Main picks this month come from up and down the Tuscan coast, from Lucca’s Fabbrica di San Martino (Did you know? There are more biodynamic farms in Lucca, including vineyards, than anywhere else in Italy) to Maremma’s magical Ampeleia (pictured above); repping the (now longstanding) vanguards of Sicily are Marsala’s Nino Baracco and Vittoria’s Arianna Occhipinti; and straight out of the Langhe, the stellar 2021 vintage in Barbaresco is very much living up to its potential in the wines of Olek Bondonio and Luigi Giordano. Lastly, from a winemaker that stands alone, one of Marco Buratti’s wild Veneto  wines for good measure - his reds are built for wintry weather!
