Andrea and Simone are Salvo's sons, longtime and very active partners in I Vigneri, though they are just pushing 27 and 31 years old, respectively. The 'Radica' Rosso is their brainchild, part of a growing line of wines crafted by i fratelli, in step with the ancient Etnean ways of their father (and forefathers) but a chance for them to step out on their own. Comprised of 100% Alicante (aka Grenache), it's easygoing but refined with notes of ripe strawberry, black cherry, thyme, and anise on the nose. The palate is fine and elegant, with a long finish that showcases the unique ashy vibrancy only found on Mt. Etna, and seemingly always by this singular family. A fabulous example of high-elevation Grenache. The future is bright!
