Nöel and Magali Bazin farm roughly 3 hectares in the Montagne de Reims, with primary holdings in the Premier Cru Village of Villers-Marmery. The Bazins' first vintage was in 1999. This is a Chardonnay-focused estate in the heart of Pinot Noir-land, as such the wines are dense yet compact; Chardonnay with attitude and weight. Serious grower bubbles without the serious price.
This creamy and refreshing Blanc de Blancs is loaded with flavors of tart green apples, pastry dough, marzipan, chalk, and cream. Fine bubbles lead to a persistent, food-friendly finish.
