New from Specogna, we dare say this is the perfect gateway bottle to Friuli's traditional skin-contact (aka orange) wines. A blend of Friulano, Soreli, and Pinot Grigio, grapes are fermented with indigenous yeast on their skins for 60 days; it's then raised in stainless steel tank for 6 months, retaining aromatic vibrancy and a notable brightness of fruit. 'Oranz' is a super sunny, outspoken orange wine with an intense nose of mandarin, white flowers, and bitter herbs. Delicate tannins, perfect salinity, and a mouth-watering finish (not to mention a great price for serious skin-contact) make this one to keep on hand.
