Cerbaiona - Elusive Montalcino Jewel

One of the wonderful aspects of working with wine are the relationships that you develop with producers like Diego Molinari and his winery Cerbaiona, in Montalcino, Tuscany. For me wine isn’t just a commodity for me to sell, it’s an experience and a sensibility that I want to share. I’ve been lucky enough to visit Diego and family on numerous occasions, and for me these wines exemplify what Brunello di Montalcino should be.

In addition to the library of Brunelli (2008, 2009, 2011 vintages now in store) there was another little gem that arrived directly from the winery: The MV Cerbaiona Rosso. We are thrilled to say that we are among the very few that have this. This is the wine you want to drink every day. It is a blend of Sangiovese vintages (2007, 2008, 2013) with a little Merlot thrown in from old vines that are now gone. It is downright delicious and a complete steal from one of the most revered wineries in Tuscany.
