Regarded as one of the most 'well rounded' crus in all of Barolo's communes, the package that emanates from Villero is always complete: strong yet elegant, powerful but dignified, above all pure and balanced. This 1.5 hectare vineyard faces southwest at an altitude of 340 meters, the fruit harvested from the 60 years vines aged in large French oak “botti” for at least two years after a cuvaison of three weeks or more. Alluring aromatics of ripe forest berries, iris, truffle and balsamic whiffs of camphor. The savory, focused palate delivers juicy Marasca cherry, crushed raspberry and baking spice before an almost salty finish.
