A striking Etna red drawn from two vineyards on opposite sides of the winery, one ancient, one young, both alive with volcanic intensity. Half comes from Vigna Jules, a 90-year-old bush-vine parcel farmed biodynamically, its deep silty soils yielding dark cherry, plum, and spice with brooding depth and fine, firm tannins. The other half, from Vigna Gaspard, an amphitheater of terraces planted in 2014 from massale selections, brings lift and crunch —wild strawberry, blueberry, and orange blossom flashing through volcanic earth. Hand-harvested, destemmed by hand, and fermented spontaneously in open wooden vats, then aged on in large neutral oak. Unfined, unfiltered, and barely touched by sulfur, it’s fragrant, layered, and alive, with red and dark fruit woven with mountain herbs, floral lift, and a long, mineral finish.
