From the singular contrada of Crasà, the 2018 Rosso 'Alberello' hails from a parcel of century-old (plus!), pre-phylloxera vines planted in the ancient bush vine (i.e. alberello) format. This corner of Etna is home to softer, more ashen volcanic soils, the resulting wines offering an extreme aromatic punch as a result. Intensely floral and perfumed, the wine reels with dried rose, powdered cocoa, dark cherry skin and raspberry candies straddled across a palate that is at once precise, complex, rich, lithe, persistent... we could go on and on.
