Once favored by Popes and the epicures of Ancient Rome, this forgotten varietal is a passion project of many producers in the Lazio region. Mastropietro is producing with low interventionist methods similar to how these wines would have been produced thousands of years ago. This wine is soft, with cherry, herbs and spice.
