The 'wonder child' in Dario's stable and arguably the benchmark grape of Oslavia, Princic's Ribolla spends 30 days on skins before aging in combination of old acacia and chestnut barrels. Deeply golden and silkily textured, the palate is chock with salty apricot skin, orange liqueur, lemon verbena, rosewater and creme caramel, the fruit stealthily unfolding in the mouth to reveal a wine deceptively supple in body, though there is plenty of underlying backbone by way of acid and fine tannins that promise a long life for this stunner. This will be a great wine to watch over the next decade or consume over a number of days.
