Pulled this year from the Don Alfio vineyard and a few others, the fruit for the Qvevri Rosso is destemmed by hand into several smaller Georgian qvevris buried on the property. Floral and expressive, the wine reels with wild plums, bramble, and dried purple flowers, red and black cherry notes, coupled with an underlying spice and minerality. Acidity is high and tannins are fine. Ever-complex if austere in its youth,
with bottle age this will truly express its impressive provenance.
