From the San Desiderio contrada's oldest vines comes the refined and elegant Rosso 'Damigiana.' This is a nudge back toward a more 'traditional' take on Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, with naturally low yields and later harvest resulting in more concentrated fruit and density of palate, yet no purity or buoyancy is lost. Being so close the Adriatic, the hillside vineyard of San Desiderio brings a bit more of a bass tone to the table. Ever fresh, this wine simply takes any edge of rusticity and tames it ever so gently. A not-so silent killer.
