Some say the tiny wine region of Molise is Italy’s last hidden gem. Tucked away on the southern cusp of the high Apennines, the land here rolls from the steep slopes of interior Abruzzo to the southern plains of Puglia. Wine exports to the US are few and far between, but we managed to score a real gem here! Comprised of 50% Tintilla (a local varietal), 25% Falanghina and 25% Trebbiano Toscano the Tagada is a super sour, tart, and lively red. With fresh acidity and a youthful finish, this chillable, low ABV wine is supremely sluggable with notes of cranberry, kaffir lime, and orange peel.
