Le Coste Rosso 2018

Mainly Greghetto (a local variety of Sangiovese), with some Cannaiolo, Colorino, Ciliegiolo, and Vaiano, as they grow mixed on the vines. A blend of three parcels of various ages, elevations and expositions, harvested individually. Fermented on the skins for 3 weeks, then pressed and decanted into chestnut barrels for a year. Gorgeous aromatics, a cherry-hue, and wonderful brightness of fruit. Soaring with flavors of dark cherry and red berries, a touch of flint, firm tannins and beautiful acidity from start to finish, it’s Sangiovese adapted to the volcanic terrain. Essential drinking for fans of the grape.
