This thing is a tangerine dream of a wine; full of racy acidity, pulpy stone fruit, and musky, herbal aromas. An irreverent take on the 'ripasso' style wines of Valpolicella, the 'Ripazzo' was in fact born of a little old fashioned necessity. A tricky batch of Litrozzo, struggling to complete fermentation, was boosted by the addition of Bianchetto skins the following year, fermentation kicked into gear, the final wine was delish, and voila! Ripazzo!
